Chobe Nationa L Park
Chobe Nationa L Park
Chobe National Park is one of Botswana’s most famous and wildlife-rich national parks, located in the northern part of the country, near the borders with Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Zambia. It is renowned for its large populations of elephants, with some estimates suggesting the park is home to one of the largest concentrations of elephants in Africa. Spanning over 11,000 square kilometers, Chobe is a diverse park that includes a variety of habitats, such as riverfronts, woodlands, and savannahs. The Chobe River, which forms the park’s northern boundary, is a focal point for wildlife, drawing herds of elephants, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, and an abundance of bird species, especially during the dry season. The park also offers opportunities for boat safaris, game drives, and bird watching, making it a top destination for wildlife enthusiasts. Chobe National Park is part of the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA), a cross-border initiative aimed at preserving regional wildlife corridors.
